Ulthwé First Steps

The Seer Council declared it a minor incursion into the Webway, a quick raid to explore newly-divined Sites of Power. Farseer Qeláeth Nightspear assigned the task to his trusted Warlock Káire-Cesh and asked him to pick out an agile, yet durable force. As soon as they approached the objectives, the Black Guardians spied the shimmering heat signatures of a Drukhari Raider and an overflying Razorwing Jetfighter. Battle was joined.

Advancing to capture the central objective, the leading unit of Black Guardians was gunned down by Kabalite Warriors and finished off by a deadly Reaver charge. On the right flank, a scouting War Walker decimated a charging unit of Wyches, supported by an indirect barrage from the Dark Reaper Exarch. Only one of the fanatical warriors finished the charge, but managed to stymie the War Walker for the rest of the battle.

On the left flank, the indomitable ghost warriors of the Spiritseer-led Wraithguard secured their objective. Under pressure from a Wych-carrying Raider and the Archon’s Kabalite bodyguard, they held firm, with the Spiritseer reanimating a fallen ghost warrior.

The Wraithlord arrived from reserves just in time to carve the Raider in half with its Ghostglaive before turning the tide of the Wraithguard’s close combat against the furious Wyches. Throughout, the Windrider unit provided devastating volumes of troop-killing fire, racing forward to secure the central objective the Black Guardians had died capturing.

In a final decisive blow, the Storm Guardians, led by Warlock Káire-Cesh, downed a damaged Jetfighter through a barrage of flamer and fusion, with the Warlock providing the killing psychic blow at close range.

Ulthwé will mourn the loss of her Black Guardians, but the objectives were secured and the mission successful with minimal losses.
